9/11

On 9/11 we went to a memorial service in Long Beach. I learned a little bit about 9/11. I know that someone did some very bad things and a lot of people were hurt. It was a very sad day for everyone...
Livi and Uncle Ray...

My First Day of Preschool

I went back to school a couple of weeks ago. Of course I've always loved and still do love going to school. I go Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9-12. It's a lot of fun. This is me and my teacher, Mrs. Hayes!
Mommy surprised me and was able to leave work and pick me up on my first day of school. Then we went out on a mommy and so date to McDonalds!

Swimming at Aunt Linda's

We went swimming at Aunt Linda's house. The pool was really cold but I didn't mind. Olivia kept getting into these rocks and trying to eat them. Silly Livi...
Mommy and Livi... They were to wimpy to get in the cold water...

That's as far as I made it on the slide that day. A couple days before I was brave enough to go down by myself. It was fun but I just didn't feel like it this day...

Happy First Birthday Olivia!

Dear Olivia,
Happy birthday Livi Pie!!!! I can hardly believe it's been one year since you've entered our lives. You have brought so much joy to us! It is hard to put into words how much we love you! I could just sit and stare at your precious face all day long. You are so beautiful and have so much personality.
From early on we knew you were full of life and were ready to be one of the big kids. You would watch Cooper and try to keep up with him the best you could. You have been such an early achiever at so many things. Everything except for teeth that is (you still only have two). From the beginning I told your dad that you would be walking before you were ten months old. And sure enough you started walking just three days before you turned ten months. You had to... in order to try and keep up with your brother. Crawling just wasn't fast or good enough.
You are much different then your brother. Cooper looks at every situation and takes time to think about the best way to do something and why that would be best. You don't take any time to think about anything, you just go for it. Which is why you have flipped over in your brother's chair numerous times and head dived into the empty bathtub. We can't take our eyes off you because we never know what you are going to do next. And... you're really fast at it too! You have had many bumps and bruises and I expect for you to have many more. Although, I do everything possible to keep that from happening. You are just one busy little girl.
Although you are extremely busy you always have time to cuddle. You are so loving and sweet.
You don't cry much. Only if you are trying to tell us something... hungry, tired, etc.
You love Mickey Mouse which is why we are giving you a Minnie Mouse birthday party (Minnie just seemed appropriate). You think they are the same anyways.
You are so petite (tall... but petite) but you definately hold your own. You only cry when you are really hurt. There is no crying wolf around here. You're a tuff little cookie.
You love your brother. You try and wake him from his naps everyday.
You are happiest when daddy comes home from work in the morning and you get to run into his arms to greet him. I'm not sure who is happier, you or daddy!
You make me smile many times a day and I cannot wait to watch you grow up into a beautiful young lady (not too fast though)! Happy birthday angel!
I love you all the loves,
Mommy

A Little Water Fun!

Yesterday we went to a little fountain because it was hot and me and Livi like to play in the water...

Painting My Room

We decided that it was time to paint my room. I am becoming such a big boy that Mommy and Daddy thought this would be a good time to get me a big boy bed. I helped to prep the room and to paint it...

River Trip

We went to the river with the Bugbee's and Uncle Chad and Auntie Shanay. Uncle Chad and Auntie Shanay decided to take us to "sand hill"...

Nap time...
The funny thing is you can't just drive to "sand hill". You have to be pushed, pulled, and lifted to sand hill...

I watched a scary movie about this place once...

It was all worth it for a sandy beach on the other side! Helping Uncle Chad pump up the board...

I got a new helmet so I thought Livi should wear the old one. She really liked it. I think it kinda made her feel like a big kid!

Excited about my new helmet...

Concert in the Park

We only made it to a couple concerts in the park this summer. We were out of town a lot so we couldn't make it to most of them.

Palm Springs

We went to Palm Springs with the Villanueva's. We stayed at Rancho Las Palmas. It was tons of fun. There was a really cool water park for kids and best of all it was right outside our hotel room. Unfortunately mommy didn't get any pictures of us in the splash park, going around the lazy river, or playing in the sand but we did get pictures of the evenings when we went out to dinner.
